This course was super easy to complete. The skills part took maybe 20 minutes thanks to watching the skills videos beforehand that the company had recorded on how to complete each module. Highly recommend!

This is a very convenient way to complete life support training. The didactic portion is user friendly and can be completed at your own pace. The skills lab that I attended is conveniently located, clean, and well maintained. For reference, I am an experienced anesthesia provider. For those wondering, I was able to complete the skills for BLS, ACLS, and PALS collectively in under 30 min. It would be nice if there was a package discount for doing multiple certifications. This is the first course I’ve used that didn’t offer that. But overall, this is a course that I would recommend.
Response from the owner:Thank you for the kind review and for recommending our course. We're glad the didactic portion was user-friendly and that the skills lab was convenient, clean, and efficient, and it's great to hear you completed BLS, ACLS, and PALS in under 30 minutes. We appreciate your suggestion for a package discount for multiple certifications and will share it with our team for consideration. We look forward to serving you again.

I honestly very nervous for the hands-on skills test, but I had no reason to be. There are videos you can watch to review right before you demonstrate the skill AND it looks like a new option to practice before you actually do it to get scored. That was a really nice option. Its been a while since I have done CPR on a manikin so I forgot how hard to push, practicing helped a lot. It was also really nice to be able to do the first part on line since I know we all have crazy schedules. I believe CPR VAM is set up to help people succeed in certification. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be BLS Certified!

I appreciated this source for BLS renewal. One small suggestion would be to change the position of the baby mannequin so that it’s legs is not facing the computer, making it more difficult to create the in circling two finger approach for compressions.

Easy to do. I kind of like in-person classes more but I am older so maybe that is just me.

If you are expecting a true instructor led acls/pals course with real time feedback, this is not the place for you. You pay a hefty price for 20 min practice cpr on mannequins in a small room without an instructor who's actually there. But if you want in and out this is for you. Great business model though.

Loved it. Educational yet efficient. I did the online portion at midnight, which was perfect for me and the next day went and did the in person. I Have been taking this class for 30 years. I was able to cut through the redundancy in this class and show that I knew how to do this. Loved it.

I participated in taking the blended class for both BLS and ACLS. I feel like the price was comparable to other places, $390 total cost for the online courses and skill assessments for both, and it is a course that is approved by the American heart association. The online portion for both courses was very straightforward and it had a great review of everything, as a "patient encounter", at the end of each section. The skills assessment was straightforward and it also offered additional videos in case you needed extra help completing the assessments. They also gave out free swag material as well at the end of it. Overall I would recommend this course program to anyone needing new certification or recertification.

Frequently Asked Questions

About CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS Classes in Utah

Real answers to questions we hear every day from students across Utah.

How do I get CPR certified in Utah?
With us, the process is straightforward. You start by completing the online HeartCode® portion at your own pace, which covers all the theory and knowledge sections. Once that’s done, you come into one of our Utah verification stations for a short 30-minute hands-on skills check. When you pass, your official American Heart Association eCard is issued the same day. No waiting, no mailing anything in.
We have verification stations spread across the state, covering major cities and surrounding areas, including Salt Lake City, Provo, Orem, Sandy, Murray, Draper, Ogden, South Jordan, Bountiful, Clearfield, American Fork, and St. George.
Yes. Every certification we issue is an official American Heart Association (AHA) credential, the same card required by hospitals, clinics, nursing programs, and most healthcare employers throughout Utah and across the country. If your employer or school requires AHA certification, our courses meet that requirement.
The online portion typically takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on the course. The in-person skills session at our Utah location is around 30 minutes. Most students complete everything in a single day and walk away with their eCard. BLS, ACLS, and PALS each vary slightly in online length, but the in-person portion stays short across all courses.
What is the difference between BLS, ACLS, and PALS in Utah?
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is the foundational course; it covers CPR, AED use, and choking for adults, children, and infants. It’s required for most healthcare professionals.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) builds on BLS and is for providers who respond to cardiac emergencies, like ER nurses, paramedics, and physicians.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) focuses on recognizing and managing emergencies in infants and children; it’s commonly required for pediatric nurses, pediatricians, and emergency staff.

Not sure which one you need? Contact us at (888) 618-0911.

For BLS, no prior experience is needed; it is designed to be accessible to healthcare providers at all stages. For ACLS and PALS, a current BLS certification is required before you attend, and some background in cardiac or pediatric care is strongly recommended.
AHA certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, are valid for two years from the date of issue. We recommend scheduling your renewal about 60 to 90 days before it expires to avoid any gap in certification, especially if your employer requires continuous coverage.
The AHA does not offer a fully online renewal; there is always a hands-on skills component required for recertification. What we do offer is the blended learning format: you complete the online HeartCode® renewal module first, then come in for a 30-minute skills check at one of our Utah stations. It’s the fastest and most flexible way to renew without having to sit through a full-day class again.
How much does CPR certification cost in Utah?
Our pricing is transparent; what you see on the booking page is what you pay. There are no hidden fees, no surprise charges for your eCard. Pricing does vary by course type (BLS, ACLS, PALS, or First Aid), so check our course listings for the current rates. We also have a pass guarantee; if you don’t pass, you can retake at no additional cost.
Absolutely. We work with hospitals, clinics, schools, corporate offices, and public safety teams across Utah who need to certify multiple staff members at once. Contact us directly for group pricing and availability.
When will I receive my AHA eCard after completing my class in Utah?
Your AHA eCard is issued the same day you complete your skills session, usually within minutes of finishing.
Don’t worry, our instructors are there to guide you, not just evaluate you. Our VAM (Voice Assisted Manikin) stations coach you through each skill in real time. If, for any reason, you don’t complete the skills check on the first attempt, we offer a free retake with no additional charge.
Yes. Because our certifications are issued by the American Heart Association, they are recognized nationwide, not just in Utah. Whether you move to another state, travel for work, or apply for a position in a different city, your AHA BLS, ACLS, or PALS eCard carries the same credibility everywhere in the country.
